Transit Connections Made Easy

Get your Clipper card to ride SMART and most other Bay Area public transit providers. SMART uses Clipper cards, the same payment system used by other Bay Area transit providers, for a seamless trip. SMART and our partnering transit agencies offer transfer discounts only through Clipper. Check out the many connections our transit partners offer with SMART to make your travel throughout the North Bay a breeze.

 

Golden Gate Ferry: Make connections to San Francisco via the Larkspur ferry from the SMART Larkspur station. View the Larkspur ferry schedule here.

Golden Gate Transit​: Golden Gate Transit provides several routes that connect SMART riders to the North Bay and San Francisco. For connection and schedule information for those routes, view Golden Gate Transit bus schedules

Sonoma County Transit: For connections to SMART throughout Sonoma County, check out Sonoma County Transit's SMART page:  https://goo.gl/FqEES8. Connections to the Charles M Schulz-Sonoma County Airport-STS​ can be made using Route 55 and 62. Until rail service extends northward, transit passengers from Cloverdale, Healdsburg, and Windsor can use Route 56 to connect to SMART. Trips using Route 56 are free to SMART riders who use a Clipper card. Here is the schedule.

 

City of Santa Rosa/Santa Rosa CityBus​: CityBus provides bus transit throughout Santa Rosa with connections to SMART's Santa Rosa SMART stations. The City of Santa Rosa also offers a discounted parking permit for commuters who regularly use public transportation. Petaluma Transit​: For connection details for the SMART Petaluma Downtown Station, check out Petaluma Transit: https://goo.gl/NTaCBb. Petaluma Transit Routes 10, 11, and 24 connect to the SMART station or the nearby Copeland Transit Mall.

 

Marin Transit​: Provides connecting bus services to SMART stations throughout Marin County. For SMART connection information, visit: https://marintransit.org/. Marin Transit now offers Connect, an on-demand shuttle serving the SMART Marin Civic Center Station. Transportation Authority of Marin​: TAM has partnered with Lyft, a mobile ridesharing app, to provide a discount of up to $5 off for ride using Lyft’s multi-passenger "Lyft Line" service to get to and from SMART Stations in Marin County. The discount is available with the promo code "GETSMART17."  For more information on TAM's Lyft Line pilot program, click here. TAM has also partnered with Whistlestop to provide ADA services for individuals with disabilities, and schedule rides for individuals without access to cell phones.
