Celebrate Independence Day and summer fun the easy way, by taking SMART to the fireworks! This year, SMART is proud to once again offer special train service to the Marin County Fair, including a late-night departure after the fireworks show.

And for the first time ever, with the opening of the new Windsor Station, SMART will also provide special late-night service from Windsor Kaboom!, making it easier than ever to enjoy the festivities in both locations.

Skip the traffic, enjoy the night, and let SMART do the driving!

 

Marin County Fair and Fireworks 

The Marin County Fair is back this summer, and it’s going to be Bug-tastic! Take SMART to enjoy rides, fair treats, live concerts, and all the festive fun the Fair has to offer. Each night ends with a spectacular fireworks show over the lagoon at 9:30 p.m., perfect for the whole family.

To make your visit even easier, SMART will offer special late-night train service, departing from the Marin Civic Center station after the fireworks, so you can relax and ride car-free after a full day of fun.

  • July 4-6: 8:52 PM, 9:24 PM, 10:10 PM

Windsor Kaboom!

Hop aboard SMART and head to Windsor Kaboom! at Keiser Park on Thursday, July 3, 2025, for an unforgettable Independence Day celebration. Enjoy a spectacular evening filled with live music, mouthwatering food, and family-friendly fun, all leading up to a breathtaking fireworks show. This annual event is hosted by the Town of Windsor and the Active 20-30 Club, with proceeds supporting local children’s programs.

To make your celebration easy and stress-free, SMART will offer special southbound return train on July 3 departing Windsor at 10:50 p.m. The return train will run as far as the Petaluma Downtown Station, providing a safe and convenient ride home after the show.
