SMART Citizens Oversight Committee to meet via Zoom teleconference

Friday, April 17, 2020 - 4:05pm
Petaluma, CA— The Citizens Oversight Committee of the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) will hold their upcoming meeting via Zoom teleconference in response to local and state shelter-in-place orders and social distancing protocols.

The Citizens Oversight Committee meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 will begin at 8:30 AM.  At this upcoming meeting, committee members will be discussing SMART’s budget and reserves, Measure I, and the role and makeup of the Committee. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in this meeting via Zoom teleconference.

The Citizens Oversight Committee reviews and provides input on SMART’s Strategic Plans. The Committee was created by the Board of Directors in 2008, and while all SMART meetings are open to the public, the Citizens Oversight Committee meetings provide a more direct role for members of the public to give input.

The Committee meeting agenda will be posted online along with instructions on how to participate via a Zoom teleconference. During the meeting, residents will be able to participate in public comment, as well as comment on specific agenda items as audience members in the Zoom teleconference. All comments received will become part of the meeting’s public record.
