Experience San Francisco Fleet Week and leave the driving to us!

Take the SMART train and the Larkspur Ferry to San Francisco's Fleet Week. Leave your car at home and enjoy a beautiful day along the San Francisco waterfront. Take the whole family to celebrate the arrival of the fleet and watch the inspiring U.S. Navy Blue Angels air show.

FAMILY FUN
Youth (0-18) and seniors (65+) ride FREE on the SMART train and the Connect Larkspur Shuttle. Fleet Week offers fun for the whole family including FREE tours of amphibious carriers, cutters, destroyers, and cruisers docked at the San Francisco Embarcadero.

FREE TOURS OF NAVY SHIPS
Navy ships will be docked in Piers 27, 30/32, 35, and 15/17 and open to the public October 9-14, except on October 11. The piers are walking distance from the Embarcadero Ferry Building. View the Ship Tours schedule.

PARADE OF SHIPS

Celebrate the arrival of the Fleet on Friday, October 11. The Parade of Ships is FREE to attend and begins at 11:00 AM along the San Francisco waterfront. Catch SMART's weekday trip 15 train southbound to the Larkspur station.

Connect to the Larkspur Ferry: from the SMART Larkspur station the Larkspur Ferry Terminal is a 0.5 mile walk along the pedestrian bridge and Sir Francis Drake Blvd.  You can also ride the new Connect Larkspur shuttle to the Ferry Terminal. The shuttle operates Thursday - Sunday and the fare is $1.50 one-way, and $0.75 for persons with disabilities. Youth (0-18) and Senior (65+) ride free on the shuttle. Reservations to ride the shuttle are recommended.

AIR SHOW

Watch the U.S. Navy Blue Angels perform. The air show is visible from various points along the waterfront and tickets are sold for event seating at the Marina Green. From the San Francisco Ferry Building, you can ride SF Muni to the Marina Green.

TRAIN SCHEDULE - View the weekday and weekend train schedule. There are 12 SMART stations serving Marin and Sonoma County.

CONNECT TO THE LARKSPUR FERRY - There are two ways to connect to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal.

  1. Walk: From the SMART Larkspur station the Larkspur Ferry Terminal is a 0.5 mile walk along the pedestrian bridge and Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
  2. Ride: Take the new Connect Larkspur shuttle to the Ferry Terminal. The shuttle opeates Thursday - Sunday and the fare is $1.50 one-way, and $0.75 for persons with disabilities. Youth (0-18) and Senior (65+) ride free on the shuttle. Reservations to ride the shuttle are recommended.

SMART FARES - Youth (0-18 ) and Seniors (65+) ride free. Fare is $1.50 for adults and $0.75 for people with disabilities, for each zone traveled.

$10 SAIL & RAIL COMBO TICKET - SMART offers a $10 Rail and Sail combo ticket to ride the train and ferry. This combo ticket is available to purchase only on the SMART e-Tickets app.

WEEKEND DAY PASS - SMART’s Weekend Day Pass is ideal for trips on Saturdays or Sundays. This pass offers unlimited train rides for one weekend day, and costs $10 for adults and $5 for persons with disabilities. The weekend pass is available on the SMART eTickets App

CLIPPER CARD - SMART and Golden Gate Ferry accept Clipper cards, the same payment system used by other Bay Area transit providers. You can buy a Clipper card and add value online or at the fare machines located at all SMART stations. SMART riders who use Clipper receive transfer credits to and from other transit systems.

PARKING - FREE day-use parking is available at the following SMART stations: Sonoma County Airport, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Petaluma Downtown, Novato San Marin, Novato Downtown, Novato Hamilton, and Larkspur.
