Spring Break 2018

Spring break is a time for fun and adventure. Delicious eateries, museums, parks, and many other exciting activities are easily accessible from SMART. Riding SMART is easy using either a Clipper© card or the SMART eTicketing app.

With Clipper, you can travel seamlessly throughout the Bay Area with a single card and enjoy transfer discounts between transit agencies. Riders with a youth Clipper card receive 50-percent off SMART fares and passes. Youth cards can be obtained in-person at one of the transit offices below. You can also apply for a youth card by emailing, faxing, or mailing a completed Youth Clipper card application form. For more information on youth Clipper cards, including acceptable forms of identification required, visit the Youth Clipper Card webpage.

The SMART eTicketing app is another option fare payment option for those who might not have a Clipper card and do not plan to transfer to other transit services. Our app is ideal for infrequent travelers, out-of-town visitors, and those who wish to purchase fares for multiple people. Discount fares for youth, seniors (individuals 65 years of age and older), and passengers with disabilities are all available on our mobile ticketing app. Passes are not available on the SMART eTicketing app. For more information on our mobile app, visit our SMART Mobile Ticketing App FAQs webpage.

This year’s spring break adventures are only a short SMART train ride away. We look forward to seeing you aboard, and wish you a safe and enjoyable spring break.
